Thriving in Place

CPAH’s Thriving in Place Program (TIP) is for adults ages 55 and older.  While the program is implemented at our two senior communities, The Watershed at Hillsdale and The Knoll at Tigard,  we work with all our senior residents to ensure that they can “age in place” and live independently as long as possible.  TIP includes health and wellness activities such as walking groups, on-site yoga, health presentations, access to community mental health resources, and cooking classes.  Staff also organize clinics, access to housekeeping, and close connections with county and state resources that are available to support senior citizens.

Community Building is fun and an important way for seniors to stay connected to each other. Residents participate in potlucks, crafts, coffee and conversation meetings, card games, and bingo, as well as writing and art workshops, as a way to develop relationships with their neighbors and expand their horizons. Throughout the year, TIP hosts several special events including Veteran’s Day, holiday parties, and summer community celebration.
