The Watershed is a transit-oriented, mixed-use development in the heart of the Hillsdale Town Center in Southwest Portland.

The Watershed building includes 51 units of affordable rental housing for seniors (55+), with eight units set aside for formerly homeless veterans. CPAH’s administrative offices and community event space are also in the Watershed building.

The Hillsdale neighborhood was involved in and supportive of the Watershed project from its early stages in 2001. Neighborhood and business leaders participated in naming the building, and they have raised funds to light the sign, the tower, and a public water fountain. Additionally, several community groups frequently meet in The Watershed’s 2,000-square-foot community center.

The Watershed received a LEED silver rating. It incorporates green building techniques and materials, including a high-efficiency central hot water boiler, durable building envelope materials, high-energy-conserving windows, and an innovative heat-recovering ventilation system. Stormwater is detained onsite and naturally pre-treated to help maintain water quality in the Stephens Creek and Fanno Creek watersheds.
