Resident services staff coordinate community building activities for all our residents to improve connections and build community. These include: community potlucks, celebrations, exercise groups, classes and workshops. CPAH works to ensure that all residents of all demographic groups can participate in activities, and feel welcome and invited. We also strive to develop a sense of community and place, which also supports successful residency. Our goals are to help residents become healthier, more self-sufficient, and connected to community resources and their neighbors; and that they’ll become increasingly engaged, participating in and sometimes helping to develop programs on-site.
At some of our properties, CPAH residents also benefit from on-site Community Gardens, where master gardener volunteers help residents plant, grow and harvest a variety of healthy foods to share with their families.
